Ever wondered how the ultra rich live and what their daily activities are? Only reading about people who enjoy a lavish life is not enough to get a proper idea. Ever thought of the term ‘jet- set’? It is closely related to all the bits and pieces of news that you gather about your favorite celebrities. To be precise, the term first originated to describe a set of socialites who would travel from one place to another on jet planes. These people have a lifestyle that seems to be far from the spending ability of the common man. Jet- setters are often extremely successful at their respective professions and whether it is leisure or professional, all their activities are carefully charted by the media.

You think of millions of dollars and instantly you are reminded of the ones who have it. And they are none other than individuals who have managed to jet- set into this kind of a lifestyle. Every aspect of their existence seems too good to be true. For them money is no object and right from buying diamonds to mansions, everything falls into a routine. Jet- setting first came to the fore during the 1950’s when traveling the world via jet planes was a luxury enjoyed only by the super rich. In fact with the initiation of the jet- setting revolution also came the aspect of labeling certain places as locations frequently visited by jet- setters. And these places were not just there for the access of all. Swanky, posh and fast- jet- set locations included cities like London, New York and Paris. These were favorites with jet- setters since they had a lot to offer in terms of entertainment, culture and most importantly extravagance.

And with time greater additions came to be made to what were known as jet- set locales. It was during this time that socialites developed a fascination for islands and before long the Greek Islands became a part of this list. Since then celebrities

have considered islands to be perfect retreats where they can actually dash to, away from the glare of the paparazzi and the curiosity of the public eye.

You are aware of most things that a celebrity does but there is a peculiarity about their existence that you might not have felt interested in. Jet- setters, in general, do not have many moral scruples and the way they choose to live their lifestyle is rather indisciplined and not to the liking of the common man. Their personal lives are rocky and most of them have tumultuous relationships. A typical jet- setter considers wealth to be the be-all and end-all of life. Their pursuit of happiness lies in having the best food, availing the best services and living life to the fullest. You will not be surprised to find a socialite spending innumerable hours at a nightclub or even a lounge. You can ascribe the saying ‘Work hard, party harder’ to almost every jet- setter you meet.
