Money is what gets even the most silent of men talking. They say if you’ve got money you’ve got everything. A jet- setting life, luxury, affluence and more are all that you could ever ask for. All great jet- setters around the world take your imagination by storm. They grip your thoughts by everything they say, wear and do. And it is to jet- setting individuals that you attach the phrase- ‘been there, done that’. When it comes to their existence, you feel that there is a surreal divide between their and your kind of life. Going a little deep you will exactly know what create the divide between your world and that of the jet- setters- it is not only about the wealth and assets that they known, it is also about the kind of publicity that they manage to get.
Ever thought of how the equation for child jet- setters works? At their very mention you feel weak in the knees just thinking of the access they have to money. More because it is not money, it is big money. They have all the comforts in life and their existence is at par with older celebrities. Consider today’s super- sensation Daniel Radcliffe. He’s barely four movies and one play old and just look at the kind of success he’s enjoying! Considered to be one of the richest child stars ever, Radcliffe actually has quite a simple life if his existence is detached from his current stature. He is pursuing his education and doing everything that people of his age do. But you find him exciting because somewhere you lose sight of the fact that his wealth is not everything and that he is really not Harry Potter!
Jet- set babies have a life that you might not be able to achieve even after years of working. They are mostly to be found in the world of cinema, an aspect of entertainment that never fails to excite you. If Radcliffe’s example does not sound too convincing, take Macaulay Culkin into consideration. He breezed into the movie scene with the ‘Home Alone’ series and has been in our memory despite not making it big in his adult years. Like most child stars he was impulsive in his actions and this was proved when he decided to marry at the tender age of 18. And as was expected, divorce came through in some more time. Culkin’s case is adequate in establishing that everything can’t be hunky- dory even if you get to taste fame young.
For jet- setting kids life is not as glorious as it seems to be. They experience freedom, wealth and luxury at the cost of getting their lives affected at an age where there is a distinct lack of maturity and understanding. And this leads to all the things you read about on Page Three news- drugs, alcohol and every other excess possible. Being a jet- set baby requires more than anyone, in general, can take on.
