Jet Set Destinations – A Guide To The Worlds Most Expensive Hotels

Jet Set Destinations – A Guide To The Worlds Most Expensive Hotels

Most of us only dream of spending weekends in Paris or Rome.  When we are able to travel we usually look for a discount rate at a moderate hotel. The jet set are a different breed.  They have money to spurge on the best of everything and that includes the most luxurious accommodations in the world’s trendiest locations.  Here is a guide to the five most expensive hotels in the world.

Bahamas – A beautiful and relaxing setting, the Atlantis offers the Atlantis Bridge Suite for $25,000 per night.  The suite is the most expensive hotel room in the world.  The best thing about the suite is its location. The Bridge Suite is on top of a bridge that overlooks the whole resort property and marina.  It consists of ten rooms and comes with its own butler.  There is a kitchen with a private entrance and two master bathrooms complete with chaise lounges.

Geneva – At about $23,500 per night, the Imperial Suite is one of the best hotel rooms in the world.  It is often used by dignitaries and celebrities because of its watertight security.  It is located near the headquarters of the United Nations. The hotel offers privacy for its well-known guests.  The Imperial Suite occupies the top floor reachable only by private elevator.  It has a spectacular view of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc.  The suite boasts five bathrooms with marble floors and there is a Jacuzzi and steam bath in the master bathroom.  There are many rooms and can accommodate large parties.

Cannes – The Martinez Hotel has the biggest suite on the Cote d’Azur and the most expensive at $18,000 per night.  It is indeed one of the most expensive hotel rooms in Europe. The suite is located in the penthouse and has a large wraparound terrace.  The suite has a Turkish bath and personal sauna as well as many other extravagant features.  The suite offers spectacular views of the Bay of Cannes and the Lerins Islands.  There is a private butler available 24 hours a day if desired.  The hotel also includes other amenities with the suite including a limo and open bar.

New York – The Plaza is one of the most well known hotels in the world.  The Presidential Suite is $15,000 per night and is often home to wealthy businessmen. The Presidential is located on the entire 18th floor and overlooks Central Park.  The suite has 5 bedrooms and 5 ½ baths including a sauna.  There are three marble fireplaces, a terrace and a wine cellar.  The price includes the use of a butler and the hotel chef is available to you.

Rome –The Villa LaCupola Suite at the Westin Excelsior is an extravagant suite priced at about $14,000 per night.  The suite is located on the 5th and 6th floors under the cupola of the hotel (hence the name) and was made famous in several movies.

There is a private Jacuzzi pool, private kitchen and a private cinema. The private fitness area is located on the 6th floor and there is a private elevator that can be used.  The entire suite is luxuriously decorated with frescoes and has marble floors and glass chandeliers.
