Jet-set Travel Bags 2
 A less than perfect travel bag may well take away a bit from your vacation. Luxury travel bags can add to your oomph as it rolls down the baggage claim and catering to this is a new breed of versatile bags in a stunning array of colors, shapes and sizes.
Designer travel bags vary from the feminine and pretty to masculine nylon cross body bags. You may want to choose a bag depending upon your travel needs, your personal style or even the color and style of your luggage.
One of the most common among designer travel bags is the duffel bag. They are soft box-like bags, usually rectangular and often have handheld handles. Designers now add long or adjustable shoulder straps to these bags and end pockets, which will help you carry more than in the main compartment.

Messenger bags in bright colors are another offering from designers. These have multiple open and zip-locked pockets to keep your stuff and have a flap enclosure and an adjustable shoulder strap. You can safely carry your laptops and PDAs in such bags. A typical four-figure messenger bag will come with gold or pure silver zippers and have a number of embellishments pinned on to it for added style.
Rollers or wheeled travel bags are like small suitcases and are often part of a luggage set. You may extend the handle and tug it on wheels. These bags have exterior zippered pockets, open pockets in the interior and elastic interior strap to hold your stuff. The streamlined look is most preferred for this kind of a bag and designers present these in varied colors and patterns.

Totes may be executive style with dividers and a zip or snap locking or casual unstructured with no locking. The material used for making totes can be leather, cotton, canvas, denim, or even silk. Some totes may come with heavy embellishment and prices will shoot up depending on the designer label and embellishments.
Backpacks are easy to carry and extremely spacious and are therefore very popular.
In keeping with the weight restrictions on most airlines high-end travel bags are now made of light materials and frames. A lot of such bags come in lightweight canvas with 24-carat gold trims in varying sizes. Some will have clear flexible plastic pouches to carry your liquid bottles, or provide spill-proof plastic bottles in a zipped pouch for holding your liquids.

A number of couturiers have ventured in to the world of designing high end travel bags so do not be surprised if you find polka dotted luggage on sale. There are of course the more traditional leather bags but they now come with silver or gold hardware and quilted satin lining on the insides.
Companies making travel bags had been berated even a couple of years ago for making bags that do not last beyond a single season or two. They have taken note and now make bags that will last the customers in the long term. These bags are extremely utilitarian and have multiple uses. You can carry anything ranging from clothing and a laptop to business cards and a PDA, and rest assured that your four-figure designer suit and expensive shoes will be held securely for a multiple number of trips down the years. And most designers intend these bags to be a long-term investment for the customer. When you splurge on getting yourself a high end travel bag, you do not need to replace them after every second trip or so because they are made to withstand the experience of travel.
